We offer our visitors a wide variety of activities to choose from to make your experience one that you will always remember. In fact, we offer one type of Alaskan adventure you can only get on Kodiak Island: Kodiak Bear watching, thanks to our location at the heart of the Kodiak Wildlife Refuge.
We also offer a wide variety of other wildlife and adventure tours taking place on both land and sea. You can see bears, birds, otters, seals and even whales during certain times of the year.
The Cannery/Bunkhouse
Located on the beach and surrounded by the mountains of beautiful Uyak Bay, the bunkhouse was built in the mid 1930s and remodeled with new updates in 2016. It includes 4 bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, a fully furnished modern kitchen, and a large great room.
From the deck you’ll see eagles, whales, otters, seals, fox, and kingfishers. And when you’re ready to play, there’s fishing from the beach, basketball, badminton, and buoy swings in the warehouse.
Directly behind the cannery a mountain rises 3,200 feet—filled with dens of the famous Kodiak brown bear. You’ll be amazed by the sight of these giants and their cubs walking along the mountain trails.

Our unique, indoor wildlife viewing facility lets you observe nature from indoor comfort. Perched high on top of the cannery warehouse, you’ll have a great view of bears, deer, and mountain goats on the mountain, eagles soaring overhead, and whales and sea life in the bay…all in complete safety and comfort.
Meals
We put our emphasis into making sure your adventure is all you dreamed it would be and leave the cooking to you. A fully furnished kitchen is provided so you can prepare your own meals.
