Welcome to Spirit of Alaska Wilderness Adventures

A private camp in a beautiful setting… off the beaten path.

Established in 1994, Spirit of Alaska is a secluded get-away located in the heart of Kodiak Island in beautiful Uyak bay. Accessible only by float plane or boat, Spirit of Alaska’s remote camps are home to breath-taking scenery, natural wonders and an abundant variety of fish, marine mammals, birds & wildlife; from salmon and halibut to whales and the famous Kodiak Brown Bear.

We specialize in offering personal service and flexible scheduling that allows you to create your ultimate Alaskan adventure and experience wild Alaska at its finest. We offer fully guided world class bear & wildlife viewing, photography, fishing, kayaking excursions, sight-seeing, whale watching, and beach combing.

Our facilities include everything you need to experience the many wonders of Alaska’s wild outdoors in a comfortable and safe environment. We provide fully furnished private guest quarters, boats, guide, sea kayaks, fishing gear and bait. Unlike other destinations where you share a lodge & boat with other guests and follow a schedule, you and your group will be the only guests in camp for the duration of your stay. That means you have the whole place to yourselves. Your group will be the sole inhabitants of this beautiful, isolated island getaway. You can do what you want, when you want. No schedule, no pressure.

Your host and guide, Steele Davis, a USCG licensed captain and certified kayak instructor with over 20 years experience, is available to ensure your wilderness experience is all you dreamed it would be.

"The weather was awesome, the cabin perfect, and seeing wildlife like bears, sea lions, and puffins so close up as amazing… We really appreciate all your efforts in filling our days here with such amazing experiences!"
